Lilac Breasted Roller
As the year 2013 rushed to an end a reminder of how too many animals reach the end of the line by the ruthless acts of impatient drivers. The flattened Lilac Breasted Roller was photographed on the Rust de Winter Road on 16 December 2013.
Road kill caused the deaths of many animals and often we do not mention the smaller creatures such as birds, insects, lizards, hare, snakes and many more.
A wish for 2014 that all animals big and SMALL get "right of way" treatment on our roads
